President

What is this position responsible for?

  • Working to ensure that Hillel is working within its mission and vision
  • Weekly meeting w/ Leadership Associate
  • Leading weekly meeting w/ Hillel Student Board
  • Attend Board of Director Meetings
  • Weekly communication w/ all interns about upcoming events and meetings to attend
  • Monthly Community Newsletter Update
  • Be the face for Hillel in the greater campus and Jewish community
  • Delegate tasks to make large scale events happen
  • Making Shabbat and all Hillel programming a priority in their life
  • Attend Maroon & Gold Shabbat and recruit 10 students to attend
  • Work w/ Leadership Associate to create meaningful leadership development programming for current leaders and future leaders
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and push for continued growth
  • Connect with all parts of our community and be an engaging presence at programming, especially Shabbat
  • Engage 30 peers throughout school year
  • Plan and Execute Social Programming (2 a semester)
  • Outreach to other student groups
  • Take an active role in Give to the Max Day
  • Other duties as assigned

Vice President

What is this position responsible for?

  • Working to ensure that Hillel is working within its mission and vision
  • Assume the role of President in any instance that the President is unavailable
  • Bi-Weekly meeting w/ Leadership Associate
  • Attend weekly meeting w/ Hillel Board
  • Be the face for Hillel in the greater campus and Jewish community
  • Plan and Execute tasks to make large scale events happen
  • Making Shabbat and all Hillel programming a priority in their life
  • Attend Maroon & Gold Shabbat and recruit 10 students to attend
  • Work w/ Leadership Associate to create meaningful leadership development programming for current leaders and future leaders
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and push for continued growth
  • Connect with all parts of our community and be an engaging presence at programming, especially Shabbat
  • Engage 30 peers throughout school year
  • Be the lead board member on all Freshmen programming and create a welcoming environment at Hillel through 1 freshmen program a month
  • Take an active role in Give to the Max Day
  • Other duties as assigned

Treasurer

What is this position responsible for?

  • Working to ensure that Hillel is working within its mission and vision
  • Bi-Weekly meeting w/ Leadership Associate
  • Attend weekly meeting w/ Hillel Board
  • Be the face for Hillel in the greater campus and Jewish community
  • Plan and Execute tasks to make large scale events happen
  • Making Shabbat and all Hillel programming a priority in their life
  • Attend Maroon & Gold Shabbat and recruit 10 students to attend
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and push for continued growth
  • Connect with all parts of our community and be an engaging presence at programming, especially Shabbat
  • Engage 30 peers throughout school year
  • Care for the SSF Budget that the Hillel Student Board oversees
  • Work on SSF Application for funds for the following year
  • Create an environment of financially sound programming
  • Manage initiative funding requests
    • Set realistic and meaningful goals using POP or SMART with initiative leaders
    • Manage $10,000 budget for initiatives
    • Work with Leadership Associate to ensure initiatives align with Mission and Vision
  • Take an active role in Give to the Max Day
  • Other duties as assigned

Minnesota Student Association Representative (MSA Rep)

What is this position responsible for?

  • Working to ensure that Hillel is working within its mission and vision
  • Bi-Weekly meeting w/ Leadership Associate
  • Weekly meeting w/ Hillel Board
  • Attend MSA meetings and represent Hillel’s interests on campus
  • Update the Hillel Student board on what is going on at MSA Meetings
  • Work within MSA to keep Hillel’s presence on campus known
  • Be the face for Hillel in the greater campus and Jewish community
  • Plan and Execute tasks to make large scale events happen
  • Making Shabbat and all Hillel programming a priority in their life
  • Attend Maroon & Gold Shabbat and recruit 10 students to attend
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and push for continued growth
  • Connect with all parts of our community and be an engaging presence at programming, especially Shabbat
  • Engage 30 peers throughout school year
  • Reach out to and engage all candidates for MSA President
    • Invite them to speak with Student Board or at a Hillel Program if appropriate
  • Take an active role in Give to the Max Day
  • Other duties as assigned

Engagement Chair

What is this position responsible for?

  • Working to ensure that Hillel is working within its mission and vision
  • Bi-Weekly meeting w/ Staff member that oversees engagement
  • Weekly meeting w/ Hillel Board
  • Be the face for Hillel in the greater campus and Jewish community
  • Plan and Execute tasks to make large scale events happen
  • Making Shabbat and all Hillel programming a priority in their life
  • Attend Maroon & Gold Shabbat and recruit 50+ students to attend
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and push for continued growth
  • Connect with all parts of our community and be an engaging presence at programming, especially Shabbat
  • Work with other Student Board members to continue Hillel’s growth as a student led organization
  • Inform board of engagement opportunities w/ students who are currently unengaged
    • Work with engagement staff member to track engagement data
  • Engage 60 peers throughout the school year
  • Plan and execute Welcome Back BBQ
  • Create outreach to Greek Life
  • Take an active role in Give to the Max Day
